Watch Care Guide

With the right care, a luxury timepiece can be enjoyed for a lifetime and passed on for generations. These general guidelines will help you keep your watch in excellent condition.

Daily Wear

• Avoid knocks and hard impacts, which can affect the movement and case.
• Keep your watch away from strong magnetic fields (speakers, tablets, magnetic clasps), which can affect timekeeping on mechanical movements.
• Wipe the case and bracelet gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear to remove oils and dust.

Water Resistance

Water resistance ratings are not permanent and can degrade as gaskets age. Unless you know your watch's current rating, avoid submerging it. Never operate the crown or pushers underwater, and always ensure the crown is fully screwed down (where applicable) before contact with water.

Storage

• Store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• For automatic watches, a watch winder can keep the movement running when not worn—though it is not required.
• Keep the original box and store the watch away from extreme temperature swings.

Servicing

Mechanical watches benefit from periodic professional servicing to maintain accuracy and longevity. Refer to your specific brand's guidance for recommended intervals.

What to Avoid

• Do not open the case yourself—this can compromise water resistance and the movement.
• Avoid exposing the watch to chemicals, solvents, and perfumes.
• Avoid leaving leather straps in water or prolonged humidity.
